In this workshop, educators learn the power of 1-2-3 Magic, an award winning parenting and classroom management strategy from Dr. Thomas W. Phelan. This simple technique teaches educators and parents to discipline in a calm and effective manner. Educators will learn how to implement this strategy into their existing classroom management programs.
Teaching Social Skills
In this workshop, educators learn how to implement a social skills curriculum into their classroom. Explicitly teaching social skills is an important part of building a foundation for social emotional health and wellbeing. Early Intervention 101In this workshop, educators will learn about signs of developmental delays and how to identify the need for early intervention services. Educators will understand the five main categories of early intervention: physical, cognitive, communication, social/emotional and self-help.
Supporting Students in CrisisIn this workshop, educators will learn how to safely and effectively support a child in crisis. Educators will learn strategies for intervening when children are emotionally and physically not in control of their behavior. Strategies align with research based and trusted programs for safely managing and preventing behavior.
